‘You don’t have to be like this’: Alleged Roma player denies ‘shameful’ rape

Football Italian – Serie A – 10th October 2018-1423 GMT-0700 – Football Italos correspondent – Alessandro Nesta-Lazaro, Gianluca Pascucci-Trujillo-Pascucci and Gianlucio Pascolini-Gatti – have written an article about Roma’s player Alessandro Nuvolari, who is currently suspended by the club due to the rape allegation.

In the article, they say Nuvolaris’ actions were shameful and show that the football club cannot tolerate such behaviour.

Nuvolari has been charged with rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual violence, unlawful imprisonment, and robbery.

He has denied all charges.

The allegations against him stem from an alleged incident involving the 19-year-old in the summer of 2016.

The club said it had contacted police to investigate, and Nuvolarios lawyer has been in touch with the police.

Nuevoari is currently on trial in Milan, and could face up to five years in prison if convicted.

The newspaper also alleges that Roma president Andrea Della Valle has been “silenced” and that there are no plans to appeal against his suspension.
