A former Ohio high school student tried to kill herself and stab herself to death with a razor after she accidentally touched a tattoo she had on her left arm, police said.
Devin Kelleher, 19, was arraigned on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
The teen was in the middle of her graduation ceremony on Sept. 22 when she accidentally dropped a small metal tool she was holding, police say.
Kelleher went to her car to grab a razor but accidentally touched the tattoo on her arm, said Sgt. Dave Wojciechowski with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The girl said she didn’t want to touch the tattoo because she thought it looked too real, Wojkowski said.
The tattoo on Kellehter’s left arm is of a butterfly with wings.
It was taken off in the summer of 2016 when she was 16, Wajciecha said.
The girl was wearing a wig, gloves and a bandana at the time, according to police.
Her friend told police she saw Kellehart at a party with a friend and the friend was drunk, Wjciechanowski said, adding that she didn`t want to be a burden on Kelther.
Wojcic was not able to say how much money was in Kellehners purse, Wjaichowski said in court.
The woman was released from jail on $20,000 bail and is due in court in November.
